Dogs In Need

If for some reason the surgery for a particular dog doesn't occur within 60 days, the funds donated for that surgery will go back into our general fund to help the next dog in need.  Thank you for helping us help all these dogs in need!

The Mosby Foundation would like to help everyone who asks for aid. However, this is simply not possible. Due to the overwhelming number of applications we receive daily and the limited funds we have to work with, we simply cannot help everyone. Our priority for accepting an application for funding will continue to be a life-saving emergency confirmed by a licensed veterinarian either by fax or phone.

Funds pledged will be available for 60 days after the date they were originally pledged.  After that time they will not be available.

UPDATE ON MOSBY PET FOOD PANTRY

We’re off to a great start, but we need your help to keep the momentum going and keep spreading the word!  From February 10, 2010 through April 26, 2010, we’ve collected and distributed over 4800 pounds of dog food and 1060 pounds of cat food donated in kind, as well as food purchased with over $500 donated for pet food.  WOW!!!!!!!  As well, the SPCA donated shampoo, treats, and over the counter meds to us to support our distributions to families of Staunton, Augusta and Waynesboro eligible for assistance through the Verona Community Food Pantry.  THANKS!!!  We have dedicated volunteers picking up pet food from our many donation bins throughout the community - - Here’s the current list of locations.

We really need help in spreading the word to church, social, youth, and civic groups to help us out with pet food drives, and targeted publicity for this on-going initiative.  Unfortunately, the need isn’t going away, folks, and we really want to help families in need to keep their pets.  Please contact The Mosby Foundation for information on how you can help or send your contribution marked “pet food” and we’ll put it to work!
