THE MOSBY FOUNDATION NOW HAS A LOST DOG HOTLINE!

The foundation will keep records of all lost and found reports and attempt to match up people looking for dogs with folks who have found dogs with a similar description.  It is our hope that this will provide a much needed community service by helping dogs get safely home as soon as possible.

Remember - The Mosby Foundation is not a rescue group in that we do not take dogs in ourselves.

Call 540-939-4035 if you would like to report a lost or found dog.

DOGS IN NEED OF HOMES

Although the Mosby Foundation is not a rescue group in that we do not take and care for dogs ourselves, we do offer any assistance possible to promote communication and advertise dogs in need of placement. The following dogs are located in many different areas. Contact info. is given with each dog.  Please contact them directly. Thanks and please give these dogs a second chance!

All the following dogs are still available as of

CHANCELLOR

Dr. Bowman has doubled his Prozac with good results. But his dislike for the other dogs is still apparent. Chancellor will be 8 yrs old. He came to us in the summer of '03 along with his sister.  Camilla found a home right away, but I was afraid to place Chancellor due to his fearful behavior.
Over the years he has become more and more social. He likes attention from people, but he really dislikes competing with other dogs for people attention...

My dilemma is with the 8-10 yrs he has left is he better off here where everything is familiar but stressful,  or is he  better off in a new home with no other pets. I have been turning this over and over from the day he came to my home.

Chancellor has a small lipoma on his leg Dr. Bowman looked at yesterday and we are choosing to just watch it. He had his dental 2 weeks ago and is up to date on all vaccination and HW testing. He gets groomed every 8 weeks and does well at his groomer All Breeds on Cross Keys Road. He was just groomed.

He has always been is good health. He eats 3/4 cup of Blue fish dog food and has never been an over eater. He sleeps in a crate at night.  He can sit, stay, come, and is usually obedient if no other dogs are competing for the space. Chancellor loves to ride in the car, and walks well on a leash. He does better with cats than he does with dogs. He gets frightened easily and will run away if too quickly approached. He must be on a leash outside until he gets to know the new people well. He likes to go poo in the same place so pick a space you like for he will use it over and over. Chancellor does not usually play with toys, but he loves chew bones . I never give him raw hides. They  can make him and my other dogs aggressive

thanks so much.
