THE MOSBY FOUNDATION NOW HAS A LOST DOG HOTLINE!

The foundation will keep records of all lost and found reports and attempt to match up people looking for dogs with folks who have found dogs with a similar description.  It is our hope that this will provide a much needed community service by helping dogs get safely home as soon as possible.

Remember - The Mosby Foundation is not a rescue group in that we do not take dogs in ourselves.

Call 540-480-LOST (5678) if you would like to report a lost or found dog.

DOGS IN NEED OF HOMES

Although the Mosby Foundation is not a rescue group in that we do not take and care for dogs ourselves, we do offer any assistance possible to promote communication and advertise dogs in need of placement.

All the following dogs are still available as of
Please check this link for some wonderful dogs that desperately want a second chance and a new forever home.  They are all at the Orange County Humane Society, in Virginia.

The following dogs are located in many different areas.   Contact info. is given with each dog.  Please contact them directly.   Thanks and please give these dogs a second chance!

Sweet, loyal, smart, and ready to walk or play - -that's Katie.  A dear, small blue-tick hound mix, approx. 8 years old, all shots up to date, spayed, and on monthly heartworm preventative.  Katie lives with her owners who are moving to a retirement apartment, where they can't keep her.  She loves to play with other dogs, but is not cat-friendly.  Owners will pay for Katie's yearly vet bills if she can be placed in a loving home.

Casey is a 5 year-old yellow lab mix that weighs 75 pounds. He has had all of his shots. He is very affectionate.

Stays both indoors and outdoors. He is housebroken. Needs a new home secondary to a situation change with his current family.

Please help us find good homes!

I am “fostering” two puppies that appear to have been dropped near my house. They are males and I believe may be about 4 months old. They appear to be some type of Aussie/Sheppard mix?? They have long hair, one is a dark brown and the other a lighter brown, both have white markings. Just guessing….they look like they will maybe get about 30 pounds. I leave them in the crate during the day and at night and they do fine. They also seem to do well with other dogs, cats, and kids. Please let me know if you would be interested or know someone who may like to take them. I would prefer them to be together, but if it means they get a home, they can be separated.

I don’t want to take them to the SPCA.

Thanks to anyone who can help!

Spirit

Spirit is a bright-spirited funny looking little dog, part Corgi/Dachsund/Bassett and who knows what else!  He is doing well after surgery for a hernia and is undergoing heart worm treatment.  He is a trooper for sure, runs around like a two year old ...a new lease on a former miserable life for this little guy.  He is neutered, about 22 lbs., crate trained and loves to be cuddled and ride in the car.  He needs a little obedience training, but is an eager learner.  He is about eight years old and promises to give you many years of boundless love.  Give Spirit a chance in your heart, he will give you one in his. For more information Call Marcella at The Hopefull Dog Rescue at 276-681-6352 in Martinsville, Va.
